Stone House

Conceptual re-imagination of Grade ll* listed building in Lewisham ‍ ‍

The Stone House (c.1773) built by George Gibson the Younger for himself, is one of the oldest and most distinctive buildings in the London Borough of Lewisham.

This conceptual project reimagines the Grade II* listed villa with the addition of a contemporary gallery space, carefully preserving the ground floor vestible space whilst introducing a striking modern art gallery wing.

The idiosyncratic Palladian inspired spaces will accommodate diverse art forms and provide educational and interactive areas for public use. Intended to be a landmark destination that honors the building’s legacy and will serve the cultural and community needs of today.
